About this experience
You will visit the city of Shamakhi - the homeland of the legendary queen. You will see the 15th-century mausoleum of Diribaba on a steep cliff and the oldest mosque in the Caucasus. Walk through the winery with lush forests and picturesque rivers and wander through the cozy streets of the village of skilled craftsmen. Optionally, enjoy local wines and take atmospheric photos.
What to Expect
Diribaba Mausoleum. Its architecture is quite unusual - it is located in a rock at a great height and seems to be hanging in the air. On one of the tombstones of the mausoleum, there is an inscription with the construction date - 1402.
Juma Mosque in Shamakhi - the oldest in the Caucasus. You will examine the 743 construction, hear its history, and admire the three-part prayer hall.
Meysary Winery. You will enjoy stunning oak, chestnut, and pine forests, river canyons, and stretching vineyards. Optionally, you will taste local wines.
Lagich - an open-air museum that is famous for the production of copperware. You can wander through its winding streets for hours, enjoying the unique atmosphere of bygone days. If you wish, you can take photos here in national costumes.
