About this experience
In the past, Persian and Armenian nobility lived in Kond, and today it is a magnet for travelers. Abandoned houses are hard to distinguish from inhabited ones, epochs mix with each other, and modern street art gives a special touch. Walking through Kond is cool, learning its history is even better, and finishing this walk with tea at the locals' house is priceless!
What to expect
Walking tour of Kond
All those who live in Yerevan or come here for the weekend should get acquainted with this unique district. It's almost impossible to stumble upon it accidentally, as the entrances are inconspicuous. We will guide you through narrow staircases that seem to lead nowhere, and show you all the beauty of the authentic Kond with its mazes of small paths.
Tea ceremony in an Armenian family
After the walk, you will visit a house that belonged to the mayor of the city at the end of the 19th century. Today, it is inhabited by the fourth generation of one family, who will gladly welcome you. They will set the table for tea. Additionally, you will hear stories of the past, see antiques, and experience the vintage decor.
