What to expect
The Land sung by Homer
Walking through the once powerful city of Troy, you will see towers and fortifications near the altar of the temple of Athena and realize that everything Homer wrote in the Iliad is true! The city has been destroyed and rebuilt many times, so you will have to use your imagination to complete the fragments of buildings in your mind. But the ancient spirit that you will feel exploring the area still lingers in Troy to this day.
What ancient walls remember
The city-fortress is known to everyone from school days, and the giant wooden horse and the war over a beautiful woman are the first associations that come to mind when you hear the word 'Troy'. During the walk around the city, the audio guide will refresh your knowledge: how the son of the king kidnapped the beautiful Helen, which triggered the war and the symbolism of the horse. In addition, you will be reminded of the legends and myths of Troy.
