Join me for a classic tour of Istanbul's main attractions, essential for understanding the history and character of this wonderful city. As a licensed guide approved by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, I will take you to all the iconic sites and share not only popular but also lesser-known facts about them!
What to Expect
Istanbul through the centuries
You will visit the most important landmarks of the city and learn the most interesting facts about them. The tour includes:
- Blue Mosque - built in the 17th century, it is still active. Admire the architecture and listen to the mosque's story.
- Basilica Cistern - a well-preserved ancient underground water reservoir of Constantinople at a depth of 10-12 meters. Discover which movies were filmed here and why the cistern is so popular among travelers.
- Hagia Sophia - one of the most visited places in the world. I will reveal the history of this living legend and explain how its purpose has changed over the centuries.
- Hippodrome of Constantinople - the main square of Istanbul. Here you will see ancient Greek columns, an Egyptian obelisk, and a luxurious fountain gifted by the German chancellor to the Turkish sultan.
- To conclude the tour, you will be treated to aromatic Turkish coffee or tea.
Organizational Details
- Entrance fee to the Basilica Cistern (800 TRY per person) and to Hagia Sophia (25€ per person or 27€ for skip-the-line access) are not included in the tour price
- I will personally guide the tour or another Russian-speaking guide from our team will accompany you
- Hagia Sophia is an active mosque. I will help you queue for entry.
