You will walk through the historical center of Istanbul, step by step revealing its rich past, traditions, and culture. We will tell you how the city was built, how it was the capital of empires, went through times of decline, and revived again. We will show its 'landmarks', share local legends, and do everything to make the walk memorable for you.
What to expect
Hagia Sophia
We will explore the grand Hagia Sophia from the inside - a symbol of the 'golden age' of Byzantium. You will hear how many years it was built, which historical epochs it went through, and why it recently became a mosque again. You will admire the magnificent mosaics, appreciate the delicate Arabic ornamentation, and decipher the Christian symbols. You will also uncover what creates the illusion of the whole structure floating in the air.
Topkapi Palace and Hippodrome
In the palace of the sultans, Topkapi, you will immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the world-famous TV series 'Magnificent Century,' visit the famous harem known worldwide, and stroll through the luxurious rooms where the Ottoman conquerors lived. In conclusion, you will be transported back to ancient times: hear the history of the Hippodrome, examine the Egyptian column, and learn why Istanbul is called the Second Rome.

- Additional payment for tickets to the Topkapi Palace (1500 liras per person)
