Journey to the Strawberry Kingdom of Nemi and Castel Gandolfo

Our car tour will start from the city center, where we will take a spacious comfortable car and head towards Castel Gandolfo along the New Appian Way, lined with maritime pines, near which is the summer residence of the Pope and the national observatory. Our route will pass through picturesque places with stunning views of Lake Albano. But that's not all. Here, in an ancient shop where the owner himself produces wine, we can taste some of the best wines of the Lazio region if desired. The picturesque road along the lake, skirting a hill, will lead us to the small cozy town of Nemi, where the pedestrian part of our tour will begin. Walking through picturesque medieval streets, we will visit the famous Salumeria, try panino with porchetta (pork cooked on a spit in a special way, on a slice of freshly baked Larian bread), visit the mycologists who have been passing on their knowledge of white mushrooms for 4 generations, and taste various delicacies made from truffles. And then we will visit Spartacus (yes, the owner of the shop dedicated to strawberries is called that) to taste the unique strawberry liqueurs that the town is famous for. We will see the one-of-a-kind shop of a famous artisan-craftsman working with bronze and knowing all about the mysterious ships of Emperor Caligula.
