About this experience
Jerusalem will speak to you in my tour with the scents of incense and myrrh, the loud cries of eastern merchants, narrow streets, a cup of aromatic coffee with cardamom, a tasty sesame bun, and the wisdom emanating from the stones of pavements and houses. By experiencing all this, you will truly understand why such an ancient, 5000-year-old city remains so captivating to this day.
What to expect
We will visit the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus was seized by the servants of the high priest Caiaphas. We will touch the tomb of Mary at the Church of the Assumption, walk the Way of Sorrows and visit Mount Zion and the Upper Room or the Zion Chamber. We will stop at the tomb of King David and walk through the Jewish Quarter, standing on the ancient Roman Cardo street.
We will admire the painted doors of Jewish synagogues and visit the most important place for Christians worldwide: the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. We will climb up to Golgotha, where you can sanctify belongings on the Stone of Anointing, and touch the stones of the Western Wall, stones that have borne the breath of Christ and Jewish sages for 2000 years.
For an additional fee, it is possible to visit the home of Mary's parents, the site of the Sheep Pools where Jesus healed the suffering, and the ancient cisterns where the residents of Jerusalem collected water.
