About this experience
The aim of this tour is to recreate ancient Jerusalem in your eyes as it was in the times of Jesus, using the Bible, the works of Josephus Flavius, and other ancient authors.
What to Expect
- Our tour will start on the Mount of Olives. We will touch the stone from which Jesus ascended to heaven.
- We will visit the Ascension Convent, see the ancient Jewish cemetery, the German Church of Augusta Victoria, and the French Church of Pater Noster.
- We will visit the churches of Mary Magdalene, Dominus Flevit, and the Tomb Church of Mary.
- If you still have energy in the afternoon, we will enter the Old City through Lion's Gate, see the Golden Gate, the Sheep's Pools, the Prison of Jesus, and the birthplace of the Virgin Mary.
- We will walk in the footsteps of Christ along the Via Dolorosa, enter the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, where those who wish can anoint with holy oil on the Stone of Anointing.
- We will see the place of crucifixion - Golgotha, the cave of Adam, and the cave of the Finding of the True Cross by St. Helena.
- We will visit the Cenacle, where Jesus lay for 3 days.
