We will meet in the heart of the Old City - Sultanahmet Square, located on the site of the ancient Hippodrome. You will hear about the sports and social events held there, and how the role of the square has changed over the centuries. Examine the columns, obelisks, and the German Fountain, gifted by Kaiser Wilhelm II.

You will visit the most important Muslim shrines in the city: the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. You will decipher the symbols depicted on their walls and uncover the peculiarities of Islamic architecture.
