About this experience
Why do people usually visit Kakheti? Mostly for the wine, as this region is home to most of the country's famous wineries. With us, you will discover other aspects of the region - the fertile views of the Alazani Valley, ancient monasteries, and the Chavchavadze estate. Immerse yourself in history, relax in the lap of nature, and enjoy wonderful local wines.
What to expect
Want to see that Georgia is much more than Tbilisi? Acres of vineyards, numerous ancient temples and monasteries, small towns with tiled roofs - hospitable Kakheti will show you all the best (and tastiest!) that the "land of souls" is famous for.
Badiauri Village
Approximately an hour's drive from Tbilisi, we will stop at a popular bakery where traditional Georgian bread "mamin hleb" is baked in a round tandoor oven. We will have a snack there and taste local wine, chacha, and churchkhela.
Bodbe
This monastery houses the relics of St. Nino, who brought Christianity to Georgia. You will learn about the significance of the tomb for Orthodox Christians and admire the walls adorned with colorful stones and carvings.
Sighnaghi
This is one of the most picturesque and charming towns in Georgia, with breathtaking landscapes and cobbled streets. Here we will stop at a cafe with an incredible view of the Alazani Valley.
Tsinandali
At the Alexander Chavchavadze estate in Tsinandali, we will stroll through the princely garden, where extraordinarily beautiful photos are usually taken. A local guide will tell you about the life of the princely family and show you the places where the Georgian elite gathered, and Griboyedov presented his play "Woe from Wit."

Watched the movie 'Mimino' on the way back. Everything is very charming. But don't expect a wow effect after the mountains. Although the vi...
