Group Bike Tour and Trekking in Juta Gorge + Journey along the Military Georgian Road
About this experience
Embark on a journey to landscapes that will linger in your dreams... For lovers of active recreation and pristine nature, I will gladly reveal a part of my favorite country: show you Ananuri Fortress and the Arch of Friendship, wild rivers, and endless mountains. Part of the route is by car, then we will ride bicycles and walk through Juta Gorge, and also have a mini picnic with a view of the waterfall and lake.
What to Expect
Into the Mountains! From Tbilisi towards Kazbegi
Time spent with like-minded people is priceless. And time spent in the mountains is twice as priceless!
The highlight of our program is a picturesque bike tour and an easy trek, but before that, you will have your fill of the views of the Military Georgian Road. I will complement the views with stories and legends: from medieval history to contemporary life in Sakartvelo, from the peculiarities of nature's diversity to Georgian feasting and its traditions. Our stops include:
- Jinvali Reservoir with its mesmerizing turquoise water surface
- Ananuri Fortress – the citadel of the last Aragvi princes of the 13th century
- Arch of Friendship with breathtaking panoramas and bird's-eye views
Biking amidst ideal mountain views
We will switch to bicycles near the resort village of Sno and continue our journey through Kazbegi National Park. We will ride along the wide gravel road of the gorge, with no need for stories as the focus will be on the mountain landscapes and wild rivers, one of which is Djutistskali. After the end of the cycling trip, we will replenish our energy with a tasty picnic.
Trekking to the mountain village of Juta
Recharged with energy, we will continue our journey – and already on foot, we will overcome 3 km of extraordinary road. Along winding paths, along a noisy mountain river, we will climb higher and higher until truly divine views of the wild nature of majestic mountains unfold before us.
Our ultimate destination will be an authentic mountain cafe, where we can discuss the measured life of Juta and local village life, or something lofty – or we will each silently contemplate our own thoughts. We will merge with nature and absorb the energy of the mountains.
