About this experience
Informative, but not boring; on foot, but with no records - that's how your introduction to Budapest will be. I will show you the city and tell you about it as a guide and as a local, loving every corner here. In 3 hours, we will explore the Buda district with the fortress and palace, take postcard photos from the best viewpoints, and stroll around Pest. And along the way, we will talk about the history, legends, anecdotes, and the life of the Hungarians.
What to expect
City within a city 1 - hilly Buda
We will start getting to know Budapest on the western bank of the Danube, near the zero kilometer mark, at the foot of the palace. I will tell you who the Hungarians are, why we met here, and who built the Buda Castle. Climbing up, we will look at Gellert Hill and recall legends, admire the views, and uncover the secrets of the Royal Palace. We will find the residences of the president and prime minister and find out who is the boss. We will leisurely walk along ancient cobblestone streets and see the mysterious Matthias Church.
City within a city 2 - magnificent Pest
In the second part of the excursion, we will talk about the life of Hungarians today and not miss the opportunity to admire the Parliament building. You will learn about the fateful events that unfolded here, search for a miniature sculpture, and find out who installed it and why.
Reflect on the modern monument 'To the Victims of the German Occupation' at Freedom Square. We will reach the Basilica, and you will hear a story about faith and miracle. I will show you the Champs-Elysees of Budapest and the first metro in continental Europe.
At the end of the excursion, we will find the one who fulfills cherished wishes, and hopefully, everyone will make a wish to 'Return to Budapest again'!

Organizational details
- We will travel from Buda to Pest by metro (taxi at your discretion). Transportation costs are paid separately.
- Upon request, we can visit a cafe. Food and drinks are not included in the price.
