You will also learn about the ancient Roman trade routes passing through the city and what is the final point of a famous tourist route Fuessen is today.
The Secrets of St. Magnus Monastery
The picturesque streets of Fuessen will lead you to the Monastery of St. Magnus, the city's patron saint. You will learn the unusual history of its foundation, admire its characteristic Baroque architecture, and observe the series of 'Dance of Death' images in St. Anne's Chapel. You will also hear about the famous Imperial Hall of the monastery. Finally, you will climb the Schlossberg hill and see the castle-residence of the prince-bishops in the late Gothic style.
