About this experience
Enoshima is a small but absolutely amazing island! You will hear its amazing history and legends about the goddess Benzaiten associated with it. You will visit local temples, find a lucky stone, enjoy magical panoramas, and learn about the famous Enoden railway line leading to the island.
What to expect
Charming Enoshima
You will see the largest yacht harbor in Japan, which hosted yachts participating in the Tokyo Olympics in 1964. You will discover a lover's sanctuary, touch the lucky stone, and visit local temples, each dedicated to a mythological goddess. You will also explore a mysterious cave where, according to legend, a real dragon once lived.
Picturesque garden and wonderful panoramas
Climbing to the top of the island, you will admire the fantastic view of Mount Fuji, find an altar, and visit a lookout tower serving as a lighthouse for ships. You will also enjoy the fragrant blooming garden, founded by the British Samuel Cocking, who came to Japan immediately after the Meiji Revolution.
Logistical details
- We will meet in Kamakura and travel together to Enoshima by train. The ticket cost is 300 yen, and the journey will take 20 minutes.
- The ticket to the Dragon's Cave is not included in the price - 400 yen
