About this experience
Pilgrims from all corners of the planet come to the male monastery. The shrine is known not only for its miracles, but also for the beauty and power with which it was built. On the way to Ostrog, you will hear interesting facts from the history of Montenegro, and on the territory of the monastery you will touch the handcrafted wonder of the religious world.
What to Expect
History of Montenegro
Two hours of travel will pass intriguingly and imperceptibly: I will tell you about the Budva Riviera, about the villages and about St. Stefan - the most beautiful island on the coast. You will also learn the most interesting facts about Montenegro, and upon arrival at the monastery, you will hear the story of Basil of Ostrog.
Monastery in the Rock
At Ostrog, you will walk to the holy relics (optionally, you can buy an icon and a cross in the souvenir shop to touch the relic), and then ascend to the Church of the Holy Cross - the former cell of the elder Isaiah. On the way, I will tell you in detail about each shrine and the great martyrs. Further in Lower Ostrog, you will see the Church of St. Stanko. And in your free time, you can walk around the monastery, write notes, and light candles.
After visiting Ostrog, we can have lunch with national dishes at a restaurant near the monastery.
