About this experience
The poet Shelley, in love with the Italian capital, said: 'The fountains of Rome are worthy of a separate visit to this city'. The purest water has been one of Rome's main treasures since ancient times and was considered a source of eternal youth. And the fountains - a hymn to its magic, the pride and decoration of the city. I suggest finding the most interesting ones and fully enjoying the unique symphony of each.
What to expect
It's hard to say how many fountains there are in Rome, but one thing is certain: no other city in the world has such a quantity! We will stroll through the streets and squares of Rome, see many amazing fountains, and discuss their origins. You will learn:
- Which ancient fountain remains in the memory of Romans and what legends are associated with it
- When the golden age of Roman fountains arrived
- Which traditions and superstitions are associated with water sources
- Why Rome has a huge number of fountains
- Which historical events are linked to a particular fountain
- Which Italian composers were inspired by fountains to create musical works
You will see how harmoniously water sources fit into any square, street, or inner courtyard. You will see that each fountain has its own special sound. Along our way, we will encounter both the most famous fountains, resembling luxurious theatrical decorations, and less known but infinitely elegant ones, hidden in the courtyards and atriums of Roman palaces. And each of these fountains is a work of art.
We will visit the Spanish Steps, Barberini, Republic, Rotunda, St. Bernard, Quirinale Square, as well as Trevi and Navona squares.

Punctual and organized, she once again conducted an engaging tour, showing us the most beautiful f...
