About this experience
"I'm gonna make him an offer he can't refuse!" - with this iconic line from 'The Godfather', I invite you to walk through the locations in Sicily where the famous movie was filmed. You will visit the 'Vitelli' bar and see the church where Michael and Apollonia got married. I will share the story of the film's creation, and also tell you how the mafia and the French are connected, and where Mussolini sent the mafiosi.
What to Expect
Communes of Savoca and Forza d'Agro - this is where you will see the live settings of the Oscar-winning film. Sit on the famous chair at the 'Vitelli' bar where Michael asked for Apollonia's hand in marriage. Walk through the narrow alley from the church where the heroes were wed. See the place where the car with Apollonia was blown up and where the main character dies.
You will learn about the making of the film, the actors, and the director. I will also explain how the mafia originated and how its name is connected to the rebellion against the French. I will describe what the mafiosi were up to in America in the 1930s and how, upon returning to Sicily, they fought against the fascist regime.
