Cinematic Walk in Rome - in a Small Group
About this experience
Find yourself on the most picturesque street from the movie 'Roman Holiday' with Audrey Hepburn. See the place where Julia Roberts' character from 'Eat Pray Love' relaxed and had coffee. Visit the churches featured in Dan Brown's 'Angels and Demons'. Yes, many masterpieces were filmed in Rome. In famous and not so famous locations. We will guide you through them, share movie facts, and immerse you in history.
What to Expect
We will head to a non-touristy area with a spot offering a breathtaking view of the city. There you will see a monumental fountain, as beautiful as the famous Trevi Fountain, where scenes from the movie 'The Great Beauty' were filmed - an epic cinematic satire on modern Italian society, a 'portrait of modern Rome drowning in decadent languor' (highly recommended to watch!).
Of course, our route will include Rome's main attractions, accompanied by a cinematic tour. You will learn about filming, the lives of actors in Rome, the Roman film studio, rules and costs of filming at Roman landmarks, filming crew tricks, the selection of extras from Romans, and much more.
Sights you will see:
- Piazza del Popolo and the twin churches of Santa Maria in Montesanto and Santa Maria dei Miracoli
- Via Margutta
- Spanish Steps
- Trevi Fountain
- Piazza di Spagna
- Piazza Torre Argentina
- Piazza Navona
- Castel Sant'Angelo
- Janiculum Hill
- Fontana dell'Acqua Paola
