Visit the atmospheric temples of one of Thailand's oldest cities! Admire the Buddha head unearthed from under a tree's roots. See the only temple that survived the Burmese invasion, and the royal temple. Visit the location where Mortal Kombat was filmed, and witness the symbol of victory over the Burmese. And enjoy a meal in the best Thai traditions.
What to Expect
- 08:50 - Meeting at Lat Krabang station
- 09:00–10:00 - Journey to the first temple. Along the way, we will tell you about the fascinating history of the ancient capital of the Kingdom of Siam, Ayutthaya, and about each temple you will visit.
- 10:10–11:00 - Wat Chaiwattanaram temple - the filming location of the blockbuster Mortal Kombat. A Thai guide speaking Russian will share the chronicles of this place with you.
- 11:00–11:15 - Journey to Wat Na Phra Men temple
- 11:15–11:50 - Wat Na Phra Men. This is the only temple that survived the Burmese invasion. An important historical site and one of the most beautiful sanctuaries.
- 11:50–12:00 - Journey to Wat Phra Sri Sanpet temple
- 12:00–13:10 - Wat Phra Sri Sanpet - the largest temple in Ayutthaya. It is where royal ceremonies take place. The main attraction of the temple are the three chedis (stupas).
- 13:10–13:20 - Journey to Wat Maha That temple
- 13:20–14:00 - Wat Maha That. It is famous for the Buddha head entwined and pulled from the earth by tree roots.
- 14:00–14:10 - Journey to Wat Yai Chai Mongkol temple
- 14:10–15:00 - Wat Yai Chai Mongkol - one of the most beautiful temples in the Ayutthaya area. We will tell you legends about this place, and you will examine the legendary stupa - a symbol of victory over the Burmese.
- 15:00–15:40 - Traditional Thai lunch - fried chicken, tom yum with shrimp, som tam salad, fried rice, beverages. Non-spicy food!
- 17:00–17:30 - Return to Bangkok
