About this experience
Climbing the seven steep hills of Lisbon can be challenging even for the most endurance-ready - it's much better to leisurely ride through them on a tuk-tuk! Get ready to immerse yourself in Portugal's cultural environment among the slender facades of Baixa and the distinctive alleys of Mouraria, see the magical panoramas of Alfama, and experience the city's contrasts.
What to Expect
Ride through authentic neighborhoods
Our route will allow you to explore the contrasts of Lisbon, cover its main attractions and colorful districts. Baixa, reborn after the 1755 earthquake, will surprise you with its straight and luxurious streets, atypical for old Lisbon. In the heart of Lisbon - Alfama - we will get lost in the alley mazes, observe all shades of azulejos tiles, listen to the sounds of poignant fado, and the bells ringing from the Cathedral. We will explore the bohemian Chiado, a favorite spot for Lisbon's street musicians and dancers. Here you will be surrounded by high-end restaurants, galleries, shops, antique stores, and theaters. And in the alleys of Mouraria, rarely visited by tourists, we will observe the daily life of the Lisboetas.
Local tips
Along the way, I will not only share stories of Lisbon's streets but also tips on conquering the city: where to experience Lisbon's nightlife, where to go for the tastiest Portuguese dishes, where to enjoy live fado performances, and much more.
Lisbon from the best panoramic viewpoints
Located on seven hills, Lisbon is best viewed from its numerous miradouros - panoramic viewpoints offering magical views of the city. We will climb the most vibrant ones: from the Santa Luzia and Portas do Sol viewpoints, you will enjoy views of the Tagus River and the sea of red-tiled roofs of Alfama, and from the Senhora do Monte miradouro, you will see all of Lisbon at a glance, spot the Castle of Saint George, the streets of the Bairro Alto district, and even the famous statue of Jesus on the other side of the river.
