About this experience
Berlin is an amazing place where the West and East of Europe merge into a harmonious mosaic of nationalities, mentalities, and cultures. During the tour, I will not only show you the 'facade' of the German capital but also give you the opportunity to experience its character. Berlin, like a true rebel and freedom lover, is extremely diverse in its manifestations. Today it is joyful and carefree, tomorrow it is gloomy and pensive. Here it is sweet and welcoming, there it is caustic and full of sarcasm. In the morning it is focused, groomed, washed, and smells delicious of baking and coffee, but in the evening it is tousled and tipsy, hugging everyone just because life, damn it, is good!
Program
During our light and informative tour, starting at the 'Alexanderplatz' station, you will learn:

- Why does Berlin have an old town, but not really?
- What was the Pope's revenge against Berlin?
- Which monument in Berlin - the only one in the entire city! - has its own mailing address?
- Why did the bronze statues of Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels used to look westward, but now have turned their faces eastward?
- Which Berlin building turned into the tallest building in the world - the Dubai skyscraper 'Burj Khalifa'?
- What is often referred to as the 'German St. Peter's Cathedral'?
- How much does it cost the city to maintain the object that is called Berlin's 'hard legacy', and why do ordinary Berliners 'chip in' for it?
- Where did Adolf Hitler want to build a military aircraft runway, but his plans never materialized?
- Why was Berlin once called 'Athens on the Spree'?
- What secrets are hidden in the inscriptions on the walls of the Reichstag?
- Where in Berlin is its own Mount of Olives located?
- What now stands on the site of the bunker where Hitler spent his final months before his death, and the adjacent Reich Chancellery?
- Where is the place in Berlin where men kiss 365 days a year?
- Is it true that the site of the notoriously secret police - the Gestapo - is so laden with grief and tears that 'birds do not sing, trees do not grow' there since then?
And we will also visit the famous Berlin Chocolate Museum, where you can buy sweet souvenirs for yourself and your loved ones, see the museum of the most famous GDR car - the Trabant (or Trabi, as the Germans affectionately call it), and witness the place where the Third World War almost started in October 1961.
Ready? Then let's go! Tune into positivity, even if the weather is not great (which is common in Berlin), dress appropriately, fuel up well - as we will be walking for a long time at a good pace. See you there!
