About this experience
Berlin is not just Museum Island, the Reichstag, and the Brandenburg Gate. I will take you to places that are usually missed by travelers on their first encounter with the city. You will visit very different neighborhoods: fashionable and marginal, chic and bohemian. You will understand how diverse Berlin can be and gain a comprehensive understanding of it.
What to expect
You will visit the luxurious Hackesche Höfe, Frankfurter Allee with its stalinistic architecture, the party district Friedrichshain, the open-air creative space Holzmarkt, the East Side Gallery with the legendary 'Fraternal Kiss', and much more. I will tell you:
- What the 'Berlin disease' is and how locals tried to cure it
- Where the famous Amber Room was taken to Tsarskoye Selo
- Who in Berlin made their own Schindler's List
- What the local 'palaces for workers' look like
- Where drunk frogs live in the city and who locals fondly call the 'peeing bear'
- Where Berlin's nonconformists like to hang out
And other interesting facts!
