About this experience
Have you ever been on a tour where several guides are involved in the process at once? I'm sure you haven't. I invite you to take part in a completely new format called 'Exchange of Guides'. The leaders will be 4 connoisseurs, native residents of Tbilisi, who will sequentially tell you about their beloved Georgia through the prism of culture, history, and cuisine.
What to expect
The tour will be guided by professional guides, each of whom is the best in their field: an ethnographer, historian, sommelier, and culinary master. So, the program includes:
Rezo Gabriadze Marionette Theater
'Let tears only come from sharp onions' - this is the motto of this unusual place. You will be introduced to it by a specialist in Gabriadze's theater. You will learn what the main idea was behind the construction of the falling tower. The guide will also reveal the secrets that the building facade holds. This information cannot be found on the internet!
Contact Museum of Weapons and Traditional Costumes
You will see unique archaeological artifacts before you, and you will feel like traveling back in time to the medieval past. Thanks to the profound knowledge of the ethnographer in princely attire, you will learn little-known facts from the past. After the tour, you will have a photoshoot in Georgian traditional costumes.
Georgian Cuisine
It is no secret that besides natural beauty and centuries-old traditions, Georgia is famous for its unique cuisine. Your next acquaintance will be with a culinary guide. From the mouth of the connoisseur of national cuisine, you will learn the history of the names of Georgian dishes and their meanings. You will also be able to bake and taste the famous Georgian bread with your own hands.
Wine Tasting
At the end of the tour, you will visit a wine shop where you will taste chacha and original Georgian wines made by both traditional Georgian method and European technology. An experienced sommelier will help you look at wine in a new way and introduce you to Georgian winemaking traditions.
