About this experience
We invite you to discover the diverse facets of Tbilisi. Just walking the streets is not enough! It is essential to visit places where stories and customs are kept – the museums. Along our way, we will visit three of them: an open-air archaeological museum, a music museum with instruments, and a weapons museum. The program also includes a city walk, Ingori Gorge with a waterfall, a minankari workshop, and a wine cellar.
What to expect
- First, we will visit the open-air archaeological museum. Excavations here were carried out just 13 years ago. Archaeologists found Georgian baths of Roman type from the 2-3rd centuries. You will see some of the artifacts.
- Next, we will tell you about Heydar Aliyev Square, the Bath Quarter of Abanotubani, and the baths themselves.
- We will continue our journey to Ingori Gorge to the most beautiful waterfall right in the heart of the capital.
- We will walk through a hidden tunnel to Kura Embankment, where you can relax, have tea, coffee, or wine and take a boat ride on the river.
- We will visit the Museum of Musical Instruments on Krasilny Street, where you will not only see them but also hear them.
- We will descend to Vakhtang Gorgasali Square, meet the bard Sayat-Nova, visit Sofiko Chiaureli Park and Kuznetsov Yard.
- The last museum on our route is the private collection of Davit Nasaridze, a Contact Museum of Weapons and Ethnography. Here, you can ask any questions about Georgian life and traditions, admire authentic exhibits, try on national costumes, and take photos in them.
- Lastly, we will visit a minankari workshop, stroll through the carpet alley, and visit the Caravanserai.
- We will conclude our ethno-tour in a 17th-century wine cellar with a tasting of the best wines and chacha.

Tkhr is interesting for those who would like to see something different, other than the traditional tourist spots.
