About this experience
There are stereotypes about what true British people are like and what English cuisine is like. In this tour, I will try to dispel a few myths and explain why modern society has not changed so much over the years and how gastronomic preferences of Albion have evolved over the centuries.
What to expect
We will take a walk through one of the most dynamically developing areas of London - Shoreditch. I will explain why this area is the heart of the city's food culture and its historical contribution to what we now call English cuisine. You will have the opportunity to taste some dishes of this cuisine.
During our walk, we will also talk about the history of the city. I will tell you how our former compatriots, who for various reasons had to leave their homelands, prevented the popularity and growth of fascism in Britain in the 1930s. I will also show you a unique building - which honestly served as the center of three world religions, being a church, a mosque, and a synagogue in its time.
Organizational details
If desired, the tour can include a visit to a museum that will transport you back to the 18th century (entrance fee not included).
