About this experience
Everyone loves pandas! Even if you've never seen them live. And seeing them is not that easy: they are very rare animals, on the verge of extinction. As guests of Chengdu, you are lucky, because here is a research center where giant pandas are studied and bred. You will admire these cute animals and learn more about them. After that, we will take a walk in the old town of the city.
What to Expect
The road from Chengdu to the panda reserve will take about 1.5 hours.
Panda Research Center
The giant panda is one of the rarest animals in the world. Mostly found in mountainous areas in the provinces of Sichuan, Gansu, and Shaanxi. The giant panda is not only a national emblem of China, but also a valuable 'living fossil' for studying biological evolution. You will learn about the characteristics of these bears, observing them in conditions close to their natural habitat, and also discover what measures China is taking to restore the population.
Chengdu Old Town
To the northwest of the city center lie three alleys: 'Kuanzhai Alley - free life in the ancient city of Chengdu, Zhai Alley - a leisurely life in the old city, Jing Alley - the new life of Chengdu'. You will visit this authentic place, admire the ancient architecture, and take atmospheric photos.
