About this experience
This tour is for those who value their time, love comfort, and want to explore all the key attractions of Warsaw on the first day of their journey. In just a few hours, you will visit the main places of the capital and touch its history: you will see modern districts of Warsaw and the picturesque Old Town, encounter medieval fortifications and elegant royal palaces, learn about the Warsaw Uprising and the city's life during the war, as well as hear stories about Marie Curie, Frédéric Chopin, and Polish royal figures.
What to Expect
Walk in the Royal Park
First, you will head to the palace-park complex of the Royal Łazienki and visit the favorite resting place of Varsovians, where Chopin concerts under the open sky are held until late autumn. You will see the picturesque 'Palace on the Water,' the Roman Theater, and the Myślewicki Palace, where the king's courtiers lived. You will admire the beautiful Monument to Frédéric Chopin and, with some luck, you may feed the squirrels that inhabit the park.
Iconic City Sites
You will drive past the main architectural objects of the city, learning about the history of Warsaw and Poland along the way. You will see the Palace of Culture and Science, the tallest building that still evokes mixed reactions from the locals. Visit Theatre Square, where you will hear the story of the Warsaw Uprising and see places related to it. Then, a short walk through Saxon Garden to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier awaits you, where you will see what remains of the once magnificent Saxon Palace, destroyed during the war.
Atmosphere of Old Warsaw
Next, you will visit the Old Town with its beautiful Castle Square, the Royal Castle, the Cathedral, and the Mermaid - symbol of Warsaw. You will explore the barbican, the city's 16th-century fortification, and then descend to the New Town, where you will see the house of Marie Curie-Skłodowska and the oldest church in Warsaw.
If you still have energy, we will descend to the river boulevards and admire the panorama of Warsaw from the Vistula River.
