About this experience
In three hours, it won't be possible to cover all 800 years of Warsaw's history, but I promise that you will learn the most important things about the city. The elegant street of Krakowskie Przedmieście, the ensembles of the Market and Castle Squares, the Church of St. Anne - these and other sights will trace the complex path of Warsaw and you will learn about the capital's life today. You will also receive useful recommendations: where to eat well, how to spend the evening, and where else to visit in Poland.
What to expect
Key places of Krakowskie Przedmieście
Your acquaintance with the Polish capital will begin on Krakowskie Przedmieście Street - the main avenue connecting the Old Town and modern districts. Your stroll will be accompanied by stories of the Royal Route's past and the sights of the elegant street. You will see the oldest University of Warsaw, the neighboring basilica in Rococo style, the neoclassical Church of St. Anne, hotels 'Bristol' and 'Europejski,' the Academy of Fine Arts, and the Presidential Palace with a long history of construction.
Reborn Old Town
Warsaw's historical center is undoubtedly unique. Almost completely destroyed during World War II, the Old Town was skillfully rebuilt based on drawings, photographs, and sketches. You will learn how it was done and find the surviving buildings. You will walk through steep narrow alleys to reach the Royal Castle, which once again adorns Warsaw - here we will talk about outstanding Polish kings. On the Market Square, you will be charmed by gingerbread houses, and by the defensive Barbican tower, you will learn about the features of this structure.
As a result, you will gain a complete understanding of the history, architecture, and modern life of Warsaw.
