What to expect
Medieval heart of Wroclaw
Our journey will start at the Market Square - the center of medieval life in Wroclaw. You will walk through cozy trading and craft alleys, explore the ancient Jewish quarter and the Prussian Kings' palace. Then we will stroll along the Old Town promenade: see the beautiful city university, visit the former residence of the knightly order, and cross the oldest iron bridge in Poland. Once on Tumski Island, at the origins of Wroclaw, we will talk about the mysterious stories and legends that have surrounded this part of the city for centuries.
Walk to the Templars' castle
After lunch, we will continue diving into the history of Wroclaw and visit the medieval castle of the Templar knights. Not only the Topach castle itself is worth attention, but also the adjacent park with a picturesque lake, a retro car museum, and golf fields. I will tell you what events the castle walls remember and how its extensive grounds are used today.
From the Hall of the Centuries to the Japanese Garden
After a coffee break with local sweets and pastries, you will explore the attractions of the Szczytnicki Park - one of the largest in Poland. We will visit the Centennial Hall complex, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and discuss why it is considered one of the most interesting architectural solutions of the 20th century. We will peek into the Wroclaw University of Technology campus on the banks of the Oder River and admire the authentic buildings and plants of the Japanese Garden, established with the support of the Japanese Embassy over 100 years ago.
