About this experience
Ready to find yourself at the edge of the earth, where just a few centuries ago the world map ended? We will take a car trip to Cape Saint Vincent and at sunset witness an incredible spectacle: every day, to the applause of travelers, the sun slowly sets into the ocean, only to start its journey again tomorrow. You will experience an amazing sunset with a glass of port wine, visit the fortress where world navigation began, encounter the power of the ocean, and admire the picturesque lighthouse on a high cliff.
What to expect
Admire the sunset at the edge of the world
Cape Saint Vincent was considered the edge of the world just 5-6 centuries ago. Since ancient times, people believed that beyond the horizon the earth ends, and therefore were desperately afraid to sail in search of the unknown. We will comfortably settle at the very edge of the cape with glasses of port wine, grapes, and cheese to watch the sunset sun, gently descending into the ocean amidst high cliffs, accompanied by the musical wind and the roar of the waves.
The cradle of European navigation
To fully immerse yourself in the spirit of Portugal, on the way to the cape, we will stop at Fortaleza de Sagres fortress. This place is historically important and extremely interesting: it was here in the 15th century that the first navigation school in Europe was opened, where Columbus and other sailors of the Great Age of Discoveries were trained. You will learn all the most interesting facts about the founder of the school, Henry the Navigator, and the development of European navigation. And the breathtaking view from the fortress wall will complete the atmosphere of this iconic place!

- Be sure to choose comfortable shoes for the excursion and bring warm clothing: by the ocean, it can be quite cold and windy.
- Additional expenses: entrance ticket to Fortaleza fortress - 3 euros per person.
- Grapes, cheese, and port wine are included in the cost of the excursion.
- During the period when the sun sets not very late, we can visit a real lighthouse along the way, which offers a stunning view of the ocean. Lighthouse tours are conducted until 6 pm.
