About this experience
Portugal is a country on the edge of the ocean. I invite you to visit Cape Roca and stand at the westernmost point of the continent. You will visit the fishermen village of Azenhas do Mar, whose houses cling to the cliff, learn about the mentality of the Portuguese, and wander along the picturesque Atlantic coast.
What to Expect
Village on the Edge of the Cliff
We will visit the picturesque fishing village Azenhas do Mar. It is located on a steep cliff: tiled roofs cascade down to the shore. Among the rocks, there is a small pool that fills with water during high tide. You will enjoy the power of the waves and the Portuguese 'silence': when the only thing you can hear is the roaring ocean. And if you get hungry, you can relax at the fish restaurant Piscinas under the cliff wall.
Only Sky and Ocean
Our next stop is Cape Roca, the westernmost point of the Eurasian continent. The emotions of realizing this fact will overwhelm you, the feeling of freedom, space, endless sky, and sea will engulf you. It is often crowded here, so to fully enjoy the ocean, we will take a short walk along the Atlantic coast.
Relaxed and Engaging
On my tours, I try to adapt to the pace of the tourists, so you can leisurely enjoy the beauties of Portugal without rush or fuss. Without burdening you with dates and delving into the depths of history, I will talk about Portugal and the mentality of its inhabitants, share curious facts and stories.
