About this experience
The Canarian finca is a place where you will discover the true, non-touristy Tenerife as the locals know it. You will meet the owner of an old farm, taste wine from a local winery, enjoy Canarian cuisine for dinner, and be charmed by the coziness of rural island life.
What to Expect
Traditional Canarian Finca
We will head to the north of the island, to an authentic Canarian finca that existed on Tenerife long before tourists flooded the restaurants of Puerto de la Cruz. Here, almost all elements of rural Canarian life have been preserved in their pristine form: you will stroll through the vineyard, observe village animals, and admire ripe avocados, oranges, and tamarillos in the lush fruit orchard.
Winemaking in Tenerife: Learn and Taste
At the vineyard, you will be greeted by a native Canarian, whose great-grandfather founded the finca and planted the first grapevine here. Who better to tell you about the technology of local winemaking, which has remained unchanged for the last hundred years? After a brief tour into the wine history of Tenerife, you will taste aromatic Canarian wine, delve into the nuances of its production and storage.
Canarian-style Dinner!
After the tasting, you will be treated to a superb dinner with traditional Canarian dishes prepared by the farm owner - a former chef of one of the restaurants in Tenerife! You will not only appreciate the authentic local cuisine but also learn the most interesting facts about life on the Canary Islands. The cozy and hospitable atmosphere will make you feel like a welcomed guest among old friends.
