What to Expect
Marvel at Tenerife from above
Let's start with a small settlement of the island - Santiago del Teide. This town witnessed the last volcano eruption on Tenerife and miraculously survived. I will take you to the most popular viewpoint on the island, where you will enjoy the view of the unique Masca Gorge. Then we will head to Icod de los Vinos, where you will meet the symbol of Tenerife - the thousand-year-old Drago tree. Its history will reveal another mysterious aspect of the island. And to get acquainted with the local cuisine, we will visit a restaurant located in a former monastery.
Journey to the island's sanctuaries
After lunch, we will continue our journey and soon find ourselves in La Orotava, where I will tell you about the times of conquistadors and feudal lords. And at Candelaria, I will explain why thousands of pilgrims come here every year. In the center of the town, you will see a square with statues of nine Guanche kings seemingly guarding the cathedral, and once inside, you will touch the main sanctuary of the archipelago - the statue of the dark-faced Virgin of Candelaria.
