About this experience
When in Tenerife, you want to see, understand, and feel everything! During the excursion in the town of La Orotava, you will explore the main landmarks, hear little-known historical facts, and take plenty of photos. You will also visit a guachinche - a family restaurant serving traditional Canarian dishes and homemade wine.
What to Expect
Old Town and New World
La Orotava is cobblestone-covered narrow streets and majestic cathedrals, botanical gardens and breathtaking panoramic views, traditional Canarian houses, and unique examples of Masonic architecture. It is the heart of Tenerife, where the memory of all eras lives on: from the Guanches to nowadays. Here, the most colorful holidays and festivals are held, while in the surroundings of the city - in the La Orotava Valley - gastronomy and winemaking thrive.
You will visit:
- A leisurely walk through the cozy old town, where its main attractions are concentrated
- In a small botanical garden with a collection of rare native plants
- In a regular French-style park built by Canarian masons, where the best viewpoint in the city is located
- In an authentic non-touristy restaurant
Why Two Guides
We conduct car tours with two guides because it is more convenient for our guests. We have a storytelling guide (Anastasia) and a driver (Maria). Based on experience, we have found that this division of roles works very well. Maria is not just an experienced driver, she is a navigator who knows the roads of Tenerife like the back of her hand and can make any mountain serpentine road unnoticeable and not tiring. At the same time, the guide does not have to be distracted by driving; he is with you 100% throughout the entire excursion.
