What to Expect
Giza Plateau: Pyramids, Great Sphinx, and endless expanses
In the morning, while it's not too hot outside, we'll head to the Giza Plateau - to the great pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure. You will learn about the lives of pharaohs and their wives: how their typical day went, how they dressed, how they decorated their homes, what they ate and drank. In addition: when in Ancient Egypt they started building pyramids as tombs, what the decorative elements symbolize, and how funeral rites were conducted. We will decode the symbolism of the Great Sphinx — Egypt's 'calling card.'
Cairo Museum and a Walk on the Nile
After admiring the grand pyramids, we will return to the capital and visit the Cairo Museum - you will be amazed by the incredible ancient artifacts. You will see Tutankhamun's gold mask, sarcophagi embellished with precious stones, treasures found in tombs, and even real mummies. We will tell you about the most important exhibits, help you understand their purpose, and reveal their artistic value. Finally, if you wish, we will take a boat ride on the Nile and enjoy Cairo from the water.
