About this experience
So much has been written about Cairo: a city of fairy tales, color, and fantasy. I will introduce you to its millennia of history and help you immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the East. You will stroll through the city's oldest street, visit the ancient market, and the Christian quarter. And then, you will head to the Giza Pyramids! On the way, I will share the past and present, traditions, and culture of this beloved country.
What to Expect
Discovering Cairo
You will walk along the ancient street of Muizz and visit the Khan el-Khalili market. This is a real city within the city, with winding lanes and the atmosphere of Old Cairo. Additionally, I will show you the Coptic quarter - the stronghold of Christianity in the Egyptian capital. There, you will see the Roman fort of Babylon, the Hanging Church, and the Greek Church of St. George. I will share their rich history with you.
Giza Pyramids and the Great Sphinx
Of the Seven Wonders of the World, only the Giza Pyramids have remained unchanged against the onslaught of time. You will see the three famous pyramids: Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure. As well as the legendary Great Sphinx - the largest statue in the world. I will tell you in detail the history of the pyramids: who and when built them, what their main function is, who they belonged to, what they are made of, and how long they will endure.
