What to Expect
Giza Plateau: Pyramids, Great Sphinx, and vast expanses
In the morning, while it's not too hot outside, we will head to the Giza Plateau to see the great pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure. You will learn how the pharaohs and their wives lived: what their typical day was like, how they dressed, how they decorated their homes, what they ate and drank. We will also decipher the symbolism of the Great Sphinx - Egypt's 'business card'.
Cairo Museum and Nile Walk
After admiring the grand pyramids, we will return to the capital and visit the Cairo Museum - it will impress you with amazing ancient artifacts. You will see the Golden Mask of Tutankhamun, sarcophagi encrusted with gemstones, treasures found in tombs, and even real mummies. We will tell you about the most important exhibits, help you understand their purpose, and reveal their artistic value. Finally, if you wish, we will take a boat ride on the Nile and admire Cairo from the water.
Organizational Details
- The distance from Sharm El Sheikh to Cairo is about 500 km, consider your physical condition and willingness to spend a lot of time on the road when booking the tour
- For 1-2 people, the tour is conducted in a car, for 3-6 people - in a minibus
- In Sharm El Sheikh, a driver will meet you, a guide will join you in Cairo
- Entrance tickets are not included in the price: pyramids - $13 for adults, $7 for children 6-12 years old; National Museum - $13 for adults, $7 for children 6-12 years old
- Boat ride on the Nile is paid separately - $50 per group
- The tour will be conducted by me or another guide from our team
