About this experience
Embark on a comfortable journey in a minibus to explore the most famous landmarks of Cairo and uncover its lesser-known charming corners. Our program includes the secrets and legends of ancient Egyptian civilization; the history of the Saladin Citadel, built to defend against the Crusaders; a church with a biblical tradition; and the most beautiful mosque in the city.
What to Expect
- Pyramids and Sphinx. You will see the main symbols of Egypt and delve into the mysteries of one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
- Coptic temple of al-Muallaka. You will also learn about the history of the first church in Egypt and hear about the origin of its unusual name.
- Church of Saints Sergius and Bacchus. In the Coptic quarter of the city, we will visit a church where the guide will share a biblical tradition about the Virgin Mary and Jesus.
- Saladin Citadel. Another intriguing stop on the tour is the 11th-century fortress built to protect Egypt from the Crusaders, which later became the residence of sultans.
- Mohammed Ali Mosque. We will admire a beautiful example of 19th-century Turkish architecture— the most beautiful mosque in Cairo.
