About this experience
At one time, Malacca was the largest trading port in Southeast Asia, attracting the attention of the Portuguese, Dutch, and British. They all left behind architectural artifacts - you will definitely see them. Together we will stroll through the charming colonial center, visit antique shops, and immerse ourselves in the city's multicultural atmosphere.
What to Expect
I will show you the main attractions of the city: the Bastion of Santiago, the 1521 Church of the Virgin Mary, the Stadthuys Town Hall, and the Anglican Christ Church. In addition, you will:
- Visit a Chinese temple practicing three doctrines at once: Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism;
- Explore colorful antique shops;
- Get acquainted with the culture of Chinese migrants known as "Peranakans";
- Visit atmospheric cafes where you can try Malaccan coffee and Portuguese pastries;
- Take a ride on a river tram (optional);
And much more!
