About this experience
You will touch the 5000-year history of Beijing and see what it lives on today. I will show you the Old Town and the skyscraper district, the ancient Lamaist temple and the central square. I will talk about Chinese traditions, culture, mentality and help you understand this amazing country!
What to expect
Beijing through the centuries
On Tiananmen Square, you will learn when, by whom, and for what purposes it was built and what events take place on it these days. And from the beautiful Jingshan Park, you will see the Imperial Palace and the panorama of all of Beijing. Next, we will go to the Old Town Hutong - walking through its narrow streets, you will imagine what Beijing looked like a few centuries ago and learn about the daily life of the city dwellers at that time.
Yonghegong Temple, Skyscrapers, and Tea House
The Lamaist temple Yonghegong will captivate you with its beauty and an atmosphere of deep tranquility and peace. I will tell you the history of the appearance of this Tibetan corner in the center of noisy Beijing and decipher the most important Buddhist symbols in its interiors. Next, we will visit a traditional tea house for tasting and, if desired, stop for lunch at a local restaurant. In conclusion, you will visit the modern part of Beijing with skyscrapers and the bustling life of the 21st century.
