An excursion for those who want to delve into how the world-famous Czech beer is made, taste unique varieties of their favorite drink, and even take a dip in a tub of freshly brewed wort.
What to Expect
Immerse in History
First, we will head to the origins of Prague brewing, to one of the oldest monastery breweries - a place where beer has been brewed for over 600 years. Here we will delve into the history of brewing, unravel the secrets and intricacies of making this wonderful drink, and of course, taste unique varieties of monastery beer.
Tasting the Most Famous Varieties
Our next stop is Prague's best beer house, known for its careful handling of the beloved drink. Here we will not only try the most famous varieties of Czech beer but also learn about the secrets of storage and pouring. We will find out what 'tank' and 'draft' beer are, and also learn to distinguish between a 'foam' and 'flat' beer. As a gastronomic accompaniment, we will taste traditional beer snacks, from pickled cheese to 'drowned' treats.
Antique Technologies and Beer Spa
The triumphant finale will be a visit to the ancient brewery 'U Medvidku' - beer has been brewed here since 1466. This remarkable place still uses oak barrels for fermentation and aging beer. It is here where the thickest beer in the world - 'X-Beer 33' is brewed using traditional methods, taking at least 200 days to make. Apart from beer, this brewery is famous for its beer spa complex: if desired, you can fully immerse yourself in the beer atmosphere and relax in wooden tubs with beer wort, accompanied by the freshest beer.
After the excursion, you will understand why beer in this country is a national treasure, learn many interesting beer nuances, and be able to confidently say that you've acquainted yourself with Czech brewing.
