About this experience
Munich is the beer capital of the world. Almost 200 liters of beer are consumed per person per year here. I will take you on a 'beer' route and tell you about the brewing traditions in Munich and Bavaria. And in the best bars, you will taste first-class samples of 'liquid bread'.
What to Expect
A Drop of History by the Beer Barrel
You will learn about brewing beer in the Middle Ages, why the best brewers were monks, which law regulates brewing in Germany, and where modern beer technologists are trained.
Of course, you will get acquainted with the drinking culture in Munich. You will hear about who the 'Stammgäste' are, where the Big Munich Six's beer is poured, and what beer gardens are. As a beer connoisseur, I will tell you what beer the locals prefer for breakfast and what 'winter' beer is. You will learn to distinguish wheat Weißbier from unfiltered Kellerbier and discover the iconic historical events of Munich's beer scene. Together, we will learn Bavarian toasts and laugh at funny beer anecdotes.
Bar Tour
In authentic establishments, I will recommend the most popular as well as unusual varieties for tasting. With beer, you will try traditional and exotic snacks, such as Obatzda and Weisswurst. It is quite possible that we will meet the owners of beer establishments, chat soul-to-soul, and find out which famous personalities visit their restaurants.
