About this experience
I will gladly help you feel the atmosphere of the capital of Catalonia - and by the way, explain who the Catalans are. Against the backdrop of the buildings of the Gothic Quarter and El Born, admiring the city from above and discovering its tastes, you will hear stories about the inhabitants of the past and present, understand how they perceive Barcelona, and get to know it without boring lectures.
What to expect
The center of Barcelona step by step, stone by stone
Nowhere in a rush, we will take a walk through the Old Town. You will admire the harmonious lines of the Cathedral, wander the streets of the Gothic Quarter and the sophisticated Born district, hear the unusual story of the construction of the cathedral by the sea, and uncover the secret of Columbus. I will show you a few lesser-known charming churches, and when the evening begins to descend on the city, I will take you to the tower, from where you can see Barcelona from a bird's eye view.
Barcelona and the Barcelonians
To see the city as it is, I will fill the walk with lively stories. No dull facts, forgettable dates, and long descriptions! We will talk about why 85-year-old Senora Mari Jose from the house across the cathedral doesn't like tourists; why sailor Luis Pera didn't make it onto the ship opening Columbus' first expedition; what sets Catalans apart from Spaniards. A separate topic will be the national cuisine. You will learn what real paella and paella in Barcelona are, understand the concept of 'tapas,' and try the traditional sweet 'churros.'
Organizational details
Churros are included in the price of the tour. Separately paid is the ascent to the tower (2€).
