What awaits you
Rambla - the most famous street in Barcelona
Strolling along the Champs-Elysées in a Barcelona way, you will learn why the fame of the street is much longer than the street itself. Near the magical drinking fountain of the city, we will talk about folk beliefs. You will also hear the story of the vice-queen's palace, one of the best examples of Baroque civil architecture in Barcelona. You will discover an artwork right under your feet and try to decipher the symbolism of Joan Miró, the Catalan artist, sculptor, and graphic artist. Later on, I will show you that there are actually five Ramblas! And of course, I will take you to the atmospheric Boqueria Market, where you will feel the temperament rhythm of Barcelona and learn about the typical products that the region is famous for. Tastings of various appetizing treats are possible and welcomed here.
Gothic Quarter - the birthplace of Barcelona
On the unpredictable Royal Square, I will tell you why it is sometimes called the "summary of all Barcelona." Through narrow streets, I will lead you to another beautiful square with the church of Santa Maria del Pi. Due to its venerable age, the Gothic church has acquired a solid history, which includes legends that I will introduce you to. At the ancient houses of the Jewish Quarter, we will talk about the fate of the once flourishing community. You will also visit the Square of St. James, where it is appropriate to remember the 2000-year-old political life in the city. Additionally, I will show you an ancient Roman treasure right in the courtyard of a multi-family house - how can we not touch on the founders of Barcelona here! On the Plaza de Felipe Neri, you will suddenly feel like in a small village, being just a few hundred meters away from bustling Barcelona. Near the Cathedral, I will amaze you with a love story, and on the King's Square, I will transport you to the era of counts and medieval rulers.
