About this experience
During the tour, you will discover how the hot Catalan blood and love for their city manifested itself in everything: in architectural elements, monuments, and even graffiti. Through medieval dramas and myths about dragons, legends of sinful streets and alchemy, passion for football and tapas, I will tell you an inspiring story of Love and Barcelona.
What to expect
Passions of the Middle Ages
Wandering through the narrow streets of the Old Town, you will enter the Jewish Quarter, where you will touch the secrets and alchemy of medieval Barcelona. At the foot of the Cathedral, I will tell you about one of the city's patron saints, Saint Eulalia, and who she loved, and with whom she is currently 'feuding'. You will also learn who defeated the dragon and gave a rose to the princess, starting a beautiful Catalan tradition.
Mystique, intrigues, football
On a walk along the famous La Rambla, I will show you the houses where love dramas unfolded in the 19th century, not only in the Liceu Opera Theater, which is itself shrouded in mystical stories about love and hate. You will visit the wall of kisses and learn why football fans love the Canaletas fountain so much. You will walk down the former sinful street of Avinyo and probably be surprised to find out who Picasso actually portrayed on the canvas 'Les Demoiselles d'Avignon'. Additionally, I have prepared for you some historical gossip, such as what connected the great Catalonian figures Salvador Dali with Garcia Lorca and who broke the heart of the world-famous tenor Jose Carreras. And I will also tell you what Catalans really like to drink and eat (spoiler: not sangria and paella).
