What to expect
La Rambla, Magic Fountain, and everything in the Gothic Quarter
From the central square of Barcelona, we will stroll along the famous La Rambla. I will draw your attention to an inconspicuous fountain that has the magical ability to change people's lives! Then we will delve into the Gothic Quarter, walk through Roman atmospheric streets, descend into underground tunnels, and even climb terraces above the city. At the Cathedral of Barcelona, I will share with you the history of the city's creation and development. Along the crooked photogenic streets, I will show you the filming locations of famous movies. In addition, we will explore the Jewish part of the Gothic Quarter, once a ghetto, and discuss a mournful episode in Barcelona's history.
El Born, Spanish ham with coffee, and the magnificent park
After unfolding the most interesting places in the Gothic Quarter, you will head to explore the equally colorful district of El Born. During the walk, I will treat you to curious stories about the neighborhood, and also take you to the Church of the Virgin Mary. To add some flavor to the visual impressions, we will visit a secret place with veal ham and refreshing coffee! After that, the city's oldest and incredibly beautiful park, Citadel Park, will open its arms to us. Here you will learn about the times of war for the Spanish throne inheritance and see the fountain touched by Antoni Gaudí, as well as the Catalonia Parliament and the General-Governor's Palace. And finally, I will reveal the location of a terrace with a magnificent view of Barcelona Port - where the history of this amazing city began. After the walk, if you wish, you will go for lunch at a family fish restaurant, where I will reserve a table for you.
