About this experience
This walk will allow you to see the vibrant everyday Bangkok as the locals know it. Strolling through unusual parks and authentic city quarters, you will immerse yourself in Thai culture, perceive the contrast between old alleys and modern skyscrapers, discover the best street art samples in the alleys of Chinatown, visit traditional temples, try local food, and relax in a cozy café surrounded by cats.
What to expect
Discover the favorite spots of locals
Our acquaintance with Bangkok will begin at Lumpini Park, where you can watch monitor lizards sitting on trees, feed the fish, relax by a quiet lake, or attend an Aikido lesson from a Japanese master (if you are here on a Saturday). After exploring the park, we will visit the best cat café in the city, where you can enjoy a tropical smoothie while petting the local fluffy residents. And at the unique Bangkok flower market, you will not only admire flowers of all kinds and colors but also learn how the locals use them.
See the city's landmarks
We will not bypass Bangkok's key points – you will get acquainted with the peculiarities of Thai religion at the reclining Buddha temple and the incredibly beautiful Temple of Dawn, delve into the pages of Siam’s history, learn how ancient Thai life differed from modern life and explore the interesting political system of the Kingdom of Thailand today. We will take a ride on a river tram while enjoying the cityscapes from the water, visit an unusual park located in the middle of a cemetery, take photos at the tallest building in Bangkok, and appreciate the urban panoramas of hi-tech style neighborhoods.
Explore Bangkok's colorful districts
You will stroll through the streets of the world's oldest Chinatown, visit souvenir shops, taste exotic food prepared by locals, and admire the best street art in Bangkok created by street artists from around the world. Then we will visit the Indian quarter – here you will learn about the culture and religion of Sikhs, discover their traditions, and visit a temple where the poor are offered free vegetarian food. And in the Japanese quarter, which will be the final point of our route, you will have a delicious ramen dinner, walk through shops with authentic Japanese goods, and continue the evening in a traditional Japanese onsen – a bathhouse with hot thermal springs.
