About this experience
You will see Bangkok from different perspectives: from the window of a car and an aerial metro, from a boat cruising the khlongs (canals), and from a ship during a cruise along the Chao Phraya River. An historian guide will accompany you, showing not only key locations - from an unusual boat-shaped temple to the Mahanakhon skyscraper, but also sharing local legends, rituals, and traditions.
What to Expect
- Lumphini Park. A green oasis in the heart of the metropolis. More than 30 bird species live here, and giant monitor lizards roam freely.
- Aerial Metro. Bangkok is best seen not from a car, but from the window of the elevated metro. You will witness the city's multi-level layout, beautiful gardens and parks on rooftop terraces, and capture stunning panoramic photos.
- The Ghost Tower 'Sathorn Unique'. One of the tallest abandoned skyscrapers in the world. Urban legends, superstitions, and secrets of the Thais will be revealed here.
- Yan Nawa Boat Temple on the banks of the Chao Phraya River. This iconic 43-meter structure is built in the shape of a boat! You will explore the spiritual life of the capital and participate in a prosperity ritual. Lunch at a nearby restaurant is included in the cost.
- Siam Icon. During a walk in this ultra-modern shopping center, you will get acquainted with the young and progressive Bangkok.
- Mahanakhon. One of the tallest structures in the city and its main observation deck with a glass floor.
- Cruise on the River of Kings. End the eventful day with a water cruise along the Chao Phraya River with dinner onboard.
You will learn:
- The myths and legends underlying the local culture
- The formation of Thai architecture
- The rituals and traditions that still live in the heart of the city
- The unique features of Thai dwellings, palaces, and skyscrapers
- What Bangkok is renowned for in terms of economy, culture, and technology
