About this experience
This excursion will be interesting for both seasoned travelers and newcomers. You will see the capital of Thailand without tourist decorations, feel the atmosphere and true spirit of the city. Take a ride on a longtail boat along ancient canals and the Chao Phraya River, stroll through the Indian and Chinese quarters, visit exotic temples rarely visited by tourists, learn about the history, culture, and traditions of the Kingdom of Thailand, and definitely try authentic Thai cuisine.
What to expect
On the excursion, you will get acquainted with the great history of the Kingdom and Bangkok, learn about the culture and traditions of the local population, hear interesting facts about their customs, behavior, and beliefs, about the life of Russians in Thailand and their relationships with Thais, about the modern rhythm of the capital.
Additionally, I will introduce you to the public transport system, explain how to get to the necessary places in the city and the country as a whole. I will recommend which places are worth visiting. I will answer all your questions.
As a result, you will see Bangkok in its true, lively atmosphere, look at it from different angles, visit non-touristic beauties, learn life hacks for a great stay in the country, learn how to navigate the city and independently plan your future routes. And you will definitely fall in love with the incredible rhythm and spirit of this unusual city of the fairy-tale Kingdom!
Program
— Meeting with me in the lobby of your hotel or at Saphan Taksin metro station, where our route begins.
— Trip on a river tram along the Chao Phraya River. We will see the contrasting coexistence of modern skyscrapers, ancient temples, and small Thai wooden shacks.
— Flower Market. The largest in Asia. As well as a non-touristic market of spices, exotic vegetables and fruits, where prices are also non-touristic.
— Ferry to the historic districts of Thonburi - on the other side of the Chao Phraya River.
— Visit to the Turtle Temple, a Thai embodiment of paradise - Khao Mo Mountain, a museum of ancient Buddha images, a sacred stupa of the temple. By the pond, in the shady park, we will feed the turtles with papaya or bananas. It's especially interesting for children. You don't want to leave this place.
— Tuk-tuk ride through the Old City.
— Crocodile Temple, where in the very center of the city monks take care of four crested crocodiles.
— Stroll through the old bazaar, where wholesalers usually buy goods at low prices and take these goods to distant provinces for sale.
— Chinatown. Dragon Temple, tea market with tasting. You will see how the Chinese send 'parcels to the other world'. They believe that their deceased relatives on the other side critically need modern technology, fashionable clothes, money, and jewelry. They burn all this in special ovens.
— We will also walk through the market of magical amulets and the fruit market and try something delicious in a restaurant where King Rama IX once had dinner.
— End of the main program. After that, you can choose to visit the famous Khaosan Road, where a scene from the movie 'The Beach' with Leonardo DiCaprio was shot. Taste Thai dishes or have a signature Thai massage. Visit the Democracy Monument, the Iron Palace, and the very interesting Golden Mount temple, which offers a panoramic view of evening Bangkok. You can also go to one of the rooftop bars in high-rise Bangkok, visit the aquarium, or go shopping at the best shopping centers. On weekends, you can visit the floating market and take a ride on a longtail boat along the canals of Thonburi (optional + 2000 baht per boat). And for fans of adult evening entertainment, we can visit the red light districts.

How the tour goes
- This is a walking tour with a Russian-speaking guide. Sometimes we will use public transport, metro, boats, or taxis.
- I can adjust the route according to your wishes. Route changes are also possible due to weather, political events, religious holidays, or royal ceremonies.
- The tour will be conducted by one of the professional guides of our team.

— taxi from the hotel to the starting point of the tour - on the meter 100-250 baht
— offerings to monks (from 20 baht)

— a ride on a longtail boat along the canals of Thonburi with a visit to the floating market - 1 hour (optional and costs 2000 baht per boat)
