Adjarian Cuisine: Culinary Masterclass
About this experience
Get ready to immerse yourself in the culture of Adjara through the most appetizing dishes of the local cuisine! You will head to a cozy restaurant in Batumi to prepare juicy khinkali and classic Adjarian khachapuri under the guidance of a chef, learn about the specifics of Georgian cuisine, its main spices and ingredients. During the feast with local wine and traditional toasts, you will appreciate the aromas and incomparable flavors of the prepared dishes, which carry centuries-old traditions of the Georgian people.
What to Expect
👨🍳Khinkali and Adjarian Khachapuri by Your Own Hands!
We will visit a restaurant where, at a culinary masterclass under the guidance of a chef, you will delve into the nuances of Adjara's cuisine and learn to cook two of the region's most famous dishes - the legendary Georgian khinkali and, of course, the delicious Adjarian khachapuri, which has been rightfully declared a monument of Georgia's intangible heritage. You will go through all the stages of creating the dishes from processing the ingredients to serving, and in the process, you will learn how khinkali is prepared in different regions of the country and why khachapuri should be tried specifically in Adjara. We will also descend into the wine cellar, marani, taste several varieties of wine, and talk about the secrets of Georgian winemaking.
🍷 Lunch in Georgian Traditions
The logical continuation of our gastronomic masterclass will be a real Georgian feast - Kartuli Supra - of the prepared dishes! Aromatic wine, a warm atmosphere, and traditional toasts will allow you to feel the scope of Georgian hospitality, immerse yourself in the local charm, and feel like a native. And all this in the pleasant setting of a stylish restaurant overlooking the city.
